When the 2020 pandemic arrived, the world was flipped upside down. Change was everywhere. Especially in the workplace. Many, like myself, had to adjust to the new norm of working from home. The days of office work were seen as a thing of the past. The modern workplace has been reshaped by digital technology in ways that were almost unimaginable just a generation ago. In the communication field, these changes are particularly profound. Tools like instant messaging platforms, cloud-based collaboration suites, and video conferencing systems have accelerated the speed of information flow, enabling teams to work across time zones with ease. At the same time, the digital shift has introduced new expectations: communicators are now tasked with managing information overload, navigating constant connectivity, and balancing transparency with professionalism in a digital-first environment.

Technology has not only improved efficiency but also expanded reach. Messages that once took days through print or traditional mail now spread globally in seconds. This immediacy is both a strength and a challenge, as communicators must ensure accuracy and clarity in a world where misinformation can go viral just as quickly as truth.
